Before you take the field

Your game-day checklist.

  • Confirm the division, assignment, and adult mentor.
  • Pack your umpire gear, protective equipment, and water.
  • Meet your partner; agree on coverage and signals.
  • Review ground rules and local options with the adults.
  • Find the league’s safety contact and know when to pause.
  • Take a breath. Watch the whole play. Make your call.

Learn from the right playbook.

Use the current Little League Baseball rules for your division and game. MLB, school baseball, and a remembered rule from last season may differ.
